One year ago, young photographer Luis Alberto Rodriguez won the first ever American Vintage Photography Award. An Official partner of the Hyères Festival, the Marseille-born fashion house is comitted to a three-year collaboration with Villa Noailles. To celebrate the second edition of their Award (the finalists of which we met throughout the weekend), American Vintage inaugurated on Saturday the exhibition of its very first winner at Tour des Templiers, entitled “A Million Little Bells”. Festival-goers from Emily Marant to Raphaëlle Stopin (who is the curator of all photography exhibitions), including DJ Louise Chen and artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet, all met to (re)discover the work of Luis Alberto Rodriguez, which had already been the subject of an exhibition at one of American Vintage’s Parisian boutiques last year). Jean-Pierre Blanc opened the event with a speech alongside the artist, American Vintage CEO Michäel Azoulay and Communications Director Franck Menegaux. It was the perfect opportunity for Jean-Pierre Blanc to reveal the “official jersey” of this 2018 edition. It is without a doubt a new collector’s item which all festival-goers will be quick to acquire…
