Sitting at H&M Studio’s Japanese table with Alexa Chung, Winnie Harlow and Marie-Ange Casta

There is something about dinner-shows this season, as if regular fashion shows weren’t enough anymore. While Kenzo invited yesterday a handful of privileged people to a sumptuous dinner in homage to Douanier Rousseau at Monnaie de Paris, H&M Studio set the bar high this February 28th by inviting the most fashionable people from Paris and beyond to take their seats in the heart of MAD Paris. In a bigger-than-life scenography in homage to Japanese culture (with large tables, giant lanterns and graphic tatamis), the models walk in front of guests sitting on their knees. Even with this unconventional seating for regular front rowers, it was no surprise to see the aristocracy of the fashion show, from Alexa Chung to Alek Wek, to Pierre Niney and Marie-Ange Casta being right where they belong. Add to this some fashion newcomers such as actor Charlie Heaton from Stranger Things, or the young Anaïs Gallagher who is none other than Oasis’ Noel Gallagher’s daughter. On the menu: fashion, sushi and confetti.
