12.04.2012 Palais de Tokyo #art

(Pre)opening of the Palais de Tokyo

Ten years ago, the Palais de Tokyo awakened Paris, considered the anti-museum par excellence, a rebellious wasteland in the heart of the 16th arrondissement. Last night, he (entered) opened the doors of his industrial metamorphosis to the capital. Some 22,000m2 of renovated expression space, entirely devoted to contemporary art, now makes it the largest European centre of its kind. More than a simple moult, it is a fundamental change which takes place with the departure of Marc-Olivier Wahler, which gives free rein to Jean de Loisy and his team of commissaires.

Non stop until midnight tonight, about thirty artists take possession of the place, and give us a focus, the tremendous energy that will be deployed there in the coming years, through performances, concerts, conferences and shows.

An unmissable Arty-Mondain meeting, where artists and personalities of the arts and fashion met, while waiting for La Triennale, which will officially inaugurate the premises on April 20th. Grandiose.
