Boys Don’t Cry: Sophie Mechaly opens her menswear shop
Mid-men’s fashion week, Sophie Mechaly (creator of Paul & Joe) together with her partner Felix Boehm inaugurated a new boutique. Named “Boys Don’t Cry” after the song by The Cure, the new spot features edgy brands of the moment, such as Off-White, Bode, Casablanca, Sies Marjan, Yeezy and Unravel. (Sophie Mechaly in fact stopped the Paul & Joe men’s line to focus on her new project.) Fashion lovers came in droves to the Saint-Germain-des-Prés location on rue des Saint-Pères. In attendance at the opening were the designers Thierry Lasry and Spencer Phipps (of PHIPPS), the general manager of Balenciaga Cedric Charbit and fashion director of GQ Ylias Nacer.
