Charlotte Perriand: Inventing a new World at the Fondation Louis Vuitton

The name Charlotte Perriand has been the talk of the town all year long. In honor of the 20th anniversary of her death, the Fondation Louis Vuitton has devoted a major exhibition to the woman considered to be one of the most important designers of the 20th century. “Charlotte Perriand: Inventing a new World” extends over the four levels of the building designed by Frank Gehry and chronologically illustrates how Charlotte Perriand has managed to reinvent the modern home. This is the first time since its opening in 2014 that the Fondation Louis Vuitton has  filled all of its galleries with works from a single artist. This highly anticipated exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in reconstructions incorporating works selected by Charlotte Perriand. Works by Picasso, Delaunay and Fernand Léger join forces for a visual journey that reinforces the marriage between art, architecture and design embodying Charlotte Perriand’s vision of a synthesis of the Arts. The exhibition will last through February 24th.
