Colour is an experience at the Cité de la Céramique de Sèvres

Powerful tool, starting point of a reflection, trademark, color is often essential to artistic creation. Thus, as part of the 40th anniversary of the Centre Pompidou, the Cité de la Céramique de Sèvres presents the exhibition “L’expérience de la couleur”, a sensory journey that creates an encounter between the work of the great French and international ceramists and that of the plastic artists or designers who marked their time. Yves Klein and the blue one to which he gave his name are particularly well known. Like this famous example, the Manufacture de Sèvres laboratory has been creating hundreds of colours since 1740, such as Sottsass orange or Hyber green, so that today they are inseparable from its identity. Thus the exhibition curator Frédéric Bodet creates with this exhibition the meeting between ceramics and other artistic disciplines through a unique experience to live until April 2, 2018.
