David LaChapelle’Last Supper’ and’Still Life’ Vernissage

To mark the beginning of his collaboration with the Templon Gallery, David LaChapelle presents for the first time in France two radical series, the unpublished “Last Supper” and “Still Life”. Known worldwide for his colourful fashion shots and baroque stagings populated by celebrities, the superstar photographer surprises with a new orientation that highlights his dual interest in the other side of the American dream and art history.

David LaChapelle, an icon hunter obsessed with the issue of notoriety, learned of vandalism at the Dublin Wax Museum and went on site to document these broken doubles, and continued his investigation in other museums in the United States, California and Nevada. The resulting series was unveiled to the photographer’s friends last night at Daniel Templon Gallery. For the others, the exhibition is to be discovered until July 27.
