Deauville Festival Opening Dinner with Moet & Chandon

Moet & Chandon and Johnnie Walker have their habits on the Normandy cruise. Each year, the Champagne brand and spirits celebrate US cinema by associating with the American Film Festival and its stuffed nights. Although it attracts only a few Americans, the Festival knows how to play its assets and remains an unmissable event for the start of the new seventh art season: 10 days of screenings for 14 films in competition, and a personality from across the Atlantic put in the spotlight at the opening.

It is this year Jessica Chastain and her flamboyant curls which come to swell the list of Hollywoodians laurelled by the seaside resort, like Michael Douglas or Harvey Keitel before them. The red thread (or should we say fuchsia) of the grand opening night, the actress can now boast of having a beach cabin in her name, right next to Will Ferrell, on the boards so dear to Gabrielle Chanel.

At the end of the ceremony, Saywho sat down with Moet & Chandon for the grand gala dinner gathering producers, jury, actors and all that cinema has to offer.
