‘Diamond Stories’: The Natural Diamond Council showcases the rich history of diamonds

The Natural Diamond Council works tirelessly to advance the integrity of the diamond jewelry industry. The organization counts seven members representing approximately 75% of the world’s rough diamond production. As a result, the NDC’s impact is significant, and its work to educate, inform and protect the consumer is paramount. Today, the Natural Diamond Council presents its first book, ‘Diamonds: Diamond Stories’ published by Assouline. This coffee table book allows the organization to share its passion for diamonds through a rich compilation of timeless pieces, moments of history and pop culture that showcase the universality of this exceptional stone. ‘Diamonds: Diamond Stories’ shows the impact of diamonds on the world through some of the most captivating stories, like the Hope Diamond and the legend of the 34.98-carat Beau Sancy, once owned by Queen Marie de Medici, wife of Henry IV. Complete with 260 pages and more than 200 illustrations, ‘Diamond Stories’ is the reference book on the history of diamonds. Here’s a look back at the book launch in Paris at the Hôtel du Cheval Blanc with David Kellie, CEO of the Natural Diamond Council.
