Sitting front row at Each Other Fall/Winter 2019

“Art meets fashion”: this is the mantra of Each Other since the brand was created in 2012. For the Fall/Winter 2019 collection, founders Ilan Delouis and Jenny Mannerheim were inspired by a poem that musician Lorelle Rayner dedicated to them: “It is only when our hearts stop, that our minds cease to exist, in a world that moves, to bring us closer to each other”. For a house built on the principles of creativity and solidarity, it was only natural to surround themselves with other creative minds for this fashion show: the models wore jewelry from the Messika by Gigi Hadid collection, Arcosanti shoes, and the pieces were made in collaboration with Amanda Wall. The artist and artistic director revisited a selection of paintings recounting scenes from her private life. 50% of the profits from the collection will go to “Free Arts”, an association that works to make art a way to restore hope and self-esteem for homeless children in Los Angeles. At the Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers, the silhouettes took inspiration from menswear, while walking to the sound of Lorelle Rayner’s voice. Asymmetries and strong pieces were the collection’s standouts, and blurred the boundaries of genre. Sitting front row, Devon Windsor, Chiara Totire, Gaia Weiss, and Olivier Zahm…
