Fruits, vegetables and songs at Hugo Matha market
After having designed the uniforms of the Crillon Hotel, freshly reopened before summer, it was only natural that Hugo Matha chose the Place de la Concorde establishment to present his spring/summer 2018 collection. “See you at the market” was the invitation shared by three videos posted on Instagram a few days before the event. We discovered there an outline of the evening with the announcement of three live Rubin, Mahaut Mondino (daughter of the photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino) and Alexia Gredy. What remained a surprise until the end were the vocal talents of Hugo Matha who, necessarily put in confidence by the familiar (and family) atmosphere, took hold of a microphone to push the song with the interpreter of “Paradis”. A refreshing moment, just like the staging of his collection where the minaudières are scattered in boxes of lemons and pears labelled HM, or sitting next to a beautiful cheese. A nod to the importance that the creator brings to his land and to regional crafts, but also to that of keeping feet on the ground.
