The christian berst art brut gallery is turning 15 (+1)! To celebrate this special anniversary, the gallery invited some 300 guests over this week in their space at Passage des Gravilliers in Paris. The party also gave the guests the opportunity to discover a preview of Julius Bockelt’s solo show, “Ostinato”. The artist, who recently entered the collections of the Musée national d’art moderne – Centre Pompidou, presents the result of his work at the Goldstein studio in Frankfurt. Officially inaugurated on September 11, the exhibition is held simultaneously with a group show held in the gallery’s secondary space, the Bridge. For this particular exhibition on the theme of ‘monsters’, writer Nancy Huston was invited to take on the role of curator – for the first time ever! The celebration then turned into a dace party with a DJ set by Philippe Cohen Solal, and everyone joined in!
