Galerie Papillon is a family affair! Created in 1989 by Claudine Papillon, the gallery presented artists such as Raymond Hains, Sigmar Polke and Jean-Michel Alberola at its inaugural exhibition. After a few relocations, Claudine Papillon moved into her current space at 13, rue Chapon in 2004. She was joined by her daughter Marion in 2007, and the two pros have been managing the gallery ever since, welcoming artists such as Linda Sanchez, Charles Le Hyaric and Cathryn Boch. Most of them (Elsa Sahal and JC Ruggirello for example) were at the big birthday bash organized this week by the gallery to celebrate the exhibition”30 years pile!” (or “30 years on the dot!”, a group show that retraces the entire history of the gallery through the works of thirty artists who contributed to its history and a selection of ten invited artists – now on display through  January 11th, 2020…
