In 2018, Les Bains Guerbois keeps on writing its olfactory story
1885, 1978 and 2015 are three of the dates that marked the history of Les Bains and which, last September, inspired the launch of a trio of perfumes embodying the olfactory story of its rich history. Among the three noses mobilized for this project, the French Dorothée Piot signs today “2013 Résidence d’Artistes”, new Eau de Parfum from the mythical establishment on rue du Bourg l’Abbé. In the history of Les Bains, 2013 holds a special place: it corresponds to the year of its closure for its major renovations as well as the exceptional artists’ residence that has preceded it. Among them, Sylvain Ristori (alias Sambre) signed under the artistic direction of Magda Danysz a large wooden sphere investing the pre-work space and redefining its “geometric typography”. His in situ work is now on the cover of the beautiful book dedicated to this residence. On January 10, the French artist took over the Bar des Bains and invited the evening’s guests to leave their mark on a large white canvas standing behind the bottle. It is up to everyone to sign it.
