Isabel Marant stages her Spring/Sumer 2021 show with powerful dance performance

Love was in the air at the Isabel Marant show. In a world where it’s prohibited to kiss or embrace loved ones and where masks are covering faces at all times, the Parisian designer provided her guests with a feeling of ‘joie de vivre’. In the Palais-Royal garden, her desire for an escape resulted in a collection with flashy colors inspired by 80s icons Kim Wilde and Debbie Harry. On the masculine/feminine silhouettes, prints by the American artist Amber Goldhammer show a multitude of multicolored hearts. Walking to a remix of Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’ by Italian artist Gabber Eleganza, the models were accompanied by a dance performance by (LA)HORDE. The group delivered a frantic and powerful performance that created a feeling of exaltation. In the first row, all of Isabel Marant’s friends had taken their seats, from fellow designers Olivier Rousteing and Alexandre Mattiussi, to Carine Roitfeld, Mademoiselle Agnès, Emmanuel Perrotin, Germain Louvet and Lena Mahfouf…
