“The Joy of Bees”, an artistic experience by Relais & Châteaux at Milan’s Salone del Mobile
Within the framework of Salone del Mobile, Relais & Châteaux offered a pop up installation where journalists and international personalities were able to discover different artistic pieces around the event “The Joy of Bees”. Like the work of Chinese artist Ren Ri with honeycombs, or that of French visual artist Olivier Darné who gave a wax-based performance, just like the ones he already presented for institutions such as the Cité Radieuse in Marseille, Fondation Cartier or Carpenters Workshop Gallery in New York. The works were staged in an original and poetic concept created by the duo Bompas & Parr, who are London-based experts in multi-sensory happening and curators for various international museums. The event carried above all a message on the fundamental role that bees play on our ecosystem. Relais & Châteaux thus proposed a poetic and engaged moment during the effervescence of Salone del Mobile.
