Karl Lagerfeld and Kaia Gerber launch their capsule collection
At just 17, Kaia Gerber is already on the way to becoming as iconic as her mother Cindy Crawford. With countless fashion shows on her resumé, she just launched her first fashion collab during Paris Fashion Week. The top model in the making just unveiled her capsule collection with Karl Lagerfeld. After Cindy, it is Kaia’s turn to be propelled by the Kaiser. “I’d describe the style of the collection as ‘Los Angeles meets Paris’,” explains the young model. The mix between Karl’s classic style and Kaia’s feminine and “California cool” touch is evident in the pieces of the collection. T-shirts, bags, shoes, and sweatshirts make for a complete wardrobe. The biker jacket, key piece of the collection, was manufactured as limited edition of 150 numbered pieces. While Kaia and Karl were celebrating the launch of the collection in Los Angeles, it was Paris’ turn to experience it at the brand’s headquarters, which had been transformed into a true mini-L.A. Between the palm trees, neon lights and other Karlito balloons, the guest list was the very definition of the term “VIP”: Olivia Palermo, Valery Kaufman, Cindy Bruna or Caroline Daur all attended the event and enjoyed a DJ set by Kiddy Smile.
