Five Parisian galleries inaugurate Komunuma

The Parisian contemporary scene has now a new playground.  Five contemporary art galleries have come together to create a unique place bringing together exhibition spaces and artist residencies located just outside of Paris in Romainville. Galerie Sator, Paris Air, Jocelyn Wolff Gallery, Jeune Création and In Situ Fabienne Leclerc have come together to form a true community: Komunuma. The five Parisian galleries are coinhabiting the site that spans 11,000 square meters in what was formerly an industrial site dating back to the last century. Komunuma opened its doors a few hours before the official launch of the 46th edition of the FIAC giving guests (Jean-Luc Verna, Michel Houellebecq) a unique opportunity to tour the new space. And coming soon: the Fiminco Foundation will open a residency that will host eighteen international artists, a new regional art centre, Frac Île-de-France/Les Réserves, will be inaugurated at Komunuma in 2020 and other galleries are expected to move in at a later date. www .komunuma.com
