Launch of the book M/M (Paris) from M to M
Chapelle de l'École des Beaux-Arts24.10.2012 #art
They could have been called MA/MA, they preferred M/M. An acronym that surely brought luck to Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak, the most prolific graphic duo on the fashionable planet. For their 20 years, they offer themselves and us a book compiling their artwork through all the creative supports developed by the team, international advertising campaigns -Balenciaga, Stella Mc Cartney, Louis Vuitton…In addition to the artistic direction of press luminaries (Purple, Vogue Paris, Les Inrocks,…), packaging, album covers, typographic work, and many other talents that will have had a substantial impact on a whole generation of experienced graphic designers. In this bible written by Emily King and published by La Martinière, we will also find portraits of the two protagonists, and the improbable story of this almost antinomic union that sealed an artistic epic more than singular. Launch and signature, last night, in another not-to-be-missed event in Parisian artistic life: L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts. His chapel, to be more precise.
