Legacy presents Ahmed Al-Maadheed’s first exhibition in Paris

From December 8 to January 17, Legacy (the concept store of the Barrière Hotel Le Fouquet’s Paris) presents the very first Parisian exhibition of Ahmed Al-Maadheed. The young Qatari artist made a splash on the international art scene with his portrait ‘Tamim the Glorious’ featuring the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, during the Gulf crisis in 2017. The image went viral around the world, and it is now the symbol of the new artistic scene of Qatar of which Ahmed Al-Maadheed has become the figurehead. A young creative with multiple talents and a modern style, he founded his creative agency in 2009 at the age of only 23, multiplying large-scale projects for major cultural and sporting events in Qatar. At Legacy, the artist is exhibiting for the first time in Paris a series of unpublished works, thus creating a dialogue between the two capitals Doha and Paris. Titled “Rimal Art Exhibition”, the exhibition celebrates Qatari culture and gives a vision of beauty between tradition and modernity. Here’s a look back at the opening of the exhibition.
