We all have in mind these images of the crazy evenings at the Bains Douches in the 80s. The David Bowie and Iman couple in conversation at the bar, Keith Haring leaning against the walls of the club, Thierry Mugler coming with his crutches… as many moments which were made mythical through the objective of a man: Foc Kan. For twenty years, the photographer has walked the unmissable evenings of the Baths, immortalizing the emblematic faces that made the success of the evenings of the establishment taken over by Jean-Pierre Marois. To celebrate this anniversary, the Boutique Les Bains dressed itself with these time capsules and inaugurated, just a step away, a pop-up gallery where the best shots of Foc Kan are exhibited. As much as the Baths have contributed to making the night a real art of living, the photographer has documented the evolution of a Parisian culture club in which we always plunge back with the same greed. The presence of some of the key faces of these nightlife years, such as the former artistic director Guy Cuevas, bears witness to this. Even to the honor, Foc Kan had not left his camera, ready to draw…
