Furla goes back to the sea with Mediterranean-themed collection

At Milan Fashion Week, the iconic Italian House Furla (born in Bologna) presented their Spring/Summer 2019 collection. To mark the occasion, Furla unveiled for the first time their men and women’s lines simultaneously. In the heart of Milan’s historic center, the House installed an immersive experience for their guests to dive into in the courtyard next to the church of San Carpoforo. Inside, guests were invited on a journey around the Mediterranean coast of the Italian peninsula, carried out by the #furlamediterranea. It began in music with an orchestra playing live music and tables installed under the trees, where guests could enjoy an Italian ice cream. Inside the old chapel, the numerous visual effects surrounding the bags gave the impression of having dived head first into the blue waters of the Mediterranean sea. In this modern scenography, the collection showed its several layers: a sober design and pure lines, a style set free from gender boundaries, as well as a discreet elegance enabled by incredible craftsmanship. In the middle of the marathon of shows, this was a welcomed break any insider wouldn’t have missed for the world.
