Gigi and Bella Hadid walk for Roberto Cavalli SS19 in front of Anna Wintour

After a great comeback to Pitti Uomo last June, the Florentine house Roberto Cavalli just presented their Spring/Summer 2019 collection designed by creative director Paul Surridge. One of the pillars of the luxury industry, and a token of the Italian style, Roberto Cavalli is a staple of Milan Fashion Week. Upon arrival on site, in a former railway station, the impressive list of journalists, Italian and international celebrities and stylists walked through the 200-meter-long paved road separating them from the entrance. One could cross the path of billionaire and art lover Jeff Goldstein, Italian singer Bianca Atzei, Caroline Daur or Deborah Hung, but also media directors Silvia Grilli and Ildo Damiano. A few minutes before the show starts, Suzy Menkes’ silhouette (Vogue) was seen in a hurry to get to her front row seat. There, newlyweds Vincent Cassel and Tina Kunakey were waiting patiently, while not far away Anna Wintour could be seen alongside Hamish Bowles. On the runway, the iconic Hadid sisters and top model Joan Smalls embodied the feminine and modern silhouettes imagined by Paul Surridge: high waist cyclists and shorts worn with evening jackets, or crop-tops embellished with precious details, as well as the House’s signature animal print…
