‘Statement’: NONFICTION launches its third issue in Paris

An annual publication directed by Céline Sabari Poizat, NONFICTION defines itself as a trend book for creatives and professionals in the field of image making. After a second issue dedicated to nature, the book celebrated the release of its third edition this week in Paris. Entitled ‘Statement’, this issue undertakes a prospective work on the aesthetics of commitment by the young international artists of today. A quote from Jean-Luc Godard, “one does not make political art, one makes art politically”, introduces this new issue which unveils the work of 56 young international talents. All of them try, through their respective practices, to determine if there are indeed aesthetics of commitment specific to our time. To celebrate the launch of this new issue, NONFICTION took over the spaces of 3537 in the 4th arrondissement of Paris in association with the 1909 bookstore. The team had prepared a curated programme of film screening, performances by artists Johanna Rocard and Nina Berclaz, as well as a DJ set by Alexi Shell.
