11.12.2015 Galerie Mitterrand + Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature #art

Opening of François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne

Pléthore d’excuses à célébration for the Mitterrand gallery, which last Friday celebrated its new exhibition dedicated to the François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne duo, and the 40 years of collaboration between Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand and the famous artist couple. The evening crowd then gathered at the Musée de la chasse et de la nature after the inauguration.

Known throughout the world since the 60’s for their sculptural vocabulary around the theme of animals and nature, and a series of no less famous works – Apple-mouth (1980), the Choupatte (1978), the Gorille de Sûreté (1970) or the Rhinocrétaire – Les Lalanne exhibit here a selection of historical pieces and more recent works, including two creations presented for the first time : the Deer Table and Pauline’s New Sheep. To be seen before February 6, 2016 at 79 Temple Street
