Opening of Sophie Bueno-Boutellier’s exhibition
Trained at Villa Arson in the 2000s, Sophie Bueno-Boutellier (1974,Toulouse) developed an installation practice inspired by minimalism, but integrating materials and objects acting as ready-made incarnates.
La Ritournelle du Peuple des Cuisines is his first large-scale monographic exhibition in a French institution (since his installation in Berlin in 2004), and reveals a body of unpublished works which, although attached to his previous work, also inaugurate a conceptual turning point in the artist’s practice.
