Opening of the exhibition “Artists in the News” of Libération
Ivan Argote, Gianni Motti, Zevs, Guy Limone, Richard Phillips… here are some of the 40 artists who took part this weekend in the”Artists in the News” adventure, an exhibition introducing an exceptional sale for the benefit of Reporters Without Borders, instigated by David-Hervé Boutin and Nicolas Couturieux.
The opportunity to rediscover the historic Unes that participated, between 2001 and 2015, in the Libération myth, reviewed and corrected by artists and visual artists with multiple and protean universes, from street-art to graphics and sculpture, and to establish a necessary bridge between art and current events, in the name of freedom. A fundamental notion more than ever challenged by the recent events that have struck the free world and all those who carry the flags working for its sustainability.
After a visit to the Earth Gallery, the works will be auctioned at Artcurial for the benefit of Reporters Without Borders during an exceptional evening bringing together the project’s various protagonists on 27 January. Review of the opening.
