Opening of the Garouste et Bonetti exhibition

In the early 1990s, a couple of collectors of European origin wanted to create the appropriate living environment to showcase their collections of modern and contemporary art. Bringing together the talents of Jacques Grange, who has accompanied them since the 1970s, and those of the English gallery owner David Gill, a pioneer in the promotion of contemporary designer furniture, they called on two young designers who had burst onto the furniture scene barely five years earlier: Elizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti.

Today, Sotheby’s is dedicating an exhibition to the duo, in which we will discover a selection of unique works designed by them for two private interiors. These pieces will be part of the sale Decorative Arts of the twentieth century which will take place on November 26 at the gallery Charpentier.
