Last night, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche was celebrating for a double reason. A few days after the inauguration of the Sofia Coppola windows, in the company of the Vuitton House and a flock of beautiful people landed in France during the SS14 presentations, the department store inaugurated its brand new watchmaking area welcoming eight prestigious corners (Rolex – Breitling – Hublot – IWC – Jaeger-LeCoultre – Piaget – Tag Heuer – and Zenith). At the same time, just opposite, the institution of the Boucicaut couple varnished the Rolex exhibition “from daytona to cosmograph daytona”, telling 50 years of the myth of the famous watch manufacturer. The opportunity to go back in time and (re)discover the beginnings of an object that has become cult.
