Outcasts Incorporated Presents’ Zeitlosigkeit’ by Katja Rahlwes

On the occasion of Paris Photo, the agency Outcasts Incorporated presents’ Zeitlosigkeit’, an exhibition that gathers a collection of recent images and archives of the German photographer Katja Rahlwes.

She describes this work as a photographic essay on notions of ambiguity and contradictions that give birth to feminine strength, transcendence, consumerism, life and death? An exposition resulting from existential considerations on the timelessness of the confusion of the senses. The portraits, still lifes and self-portraits form a kind of diary, the pages of which are in themselves a manufacturing process.

With ZEITLOSIGKEIT, we discover a new angle of Katja Rahlwes’ work, more intimist, that we usually know through her portraits of women and icons, published in the pages of the international magazines of Vogue, Self Service, Purple Fashion or The Gentlewoman but also thanks to the multiple campaigns signed of her grain, such as Celine, Miu Miu, V
