Pernod Ricard Fellowship launches its 2018 edition at Villa Vassilieff

The Pernod Ricard Group’s commitment to young contemporary creation is well established. We already know the actions and exhibitions of the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard under the direction of Colette Barbier. This week, the family group presented the 2018 edition of its Pernod Ricard Fellowship at the Villa Vassilieff – a cultural establishment nestled in the heart of Montparnasse and managed by the Bétonsalon art centre, of which Pernod Ricard is the first sponsor. This is a residency grant for international artists, curators and researchers, providing them with a unique platform for artistic research. For this new edition, four Fellows have been chosen by an artistic committee of ten members, including Colette Barbier, Mélanie Bouteloup (co-founder of Bétonsalon), Virginie Bobin (Program Manager at Villa Vassilieff), and Bernard Blistène to whom we owe the César retrospective currently at the Centre Pompidou. This week’s event gave Villa Vassilieff guests the opportunity to discover the work of the four Fellows Mercedes Azpilicueta, Koki Tanaka, Samit Das and Ndidi Dike in a scenography by Julien Creuzet. All four will complete a three-month residency at Villa Vassilieff and will benefit from tailor-made support by professionals including the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, the Centre Pompidou and Bétonsalon.
