Peter Lindbergh signs and celebrates his book
When the German photographer Peter Lindbergh captured the image of five young girls in 1989, he not only produced one of the most striking covers of the 1990s for English Vogue but also opened the era of top models.
On the occasion of its first major retrospective at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam from 10 September 2016 to 17 February 2017, TASCHEN organised in Paris a signature of the new volume dedicated to it,’A Different Vision on Fashion Photography’ by Thierry-Maxime Loriot which took place on 30 September last.
Over the 400 pages of this book, forty years of career and above all an intensely realistic vision of fashion are developed. Contextualized by the comments of those who contributed to each of the clichés, such as Jean Paul Gaultier or Grace Coddington, the images tell the visual influence of a man who signed a new era of female beauty.
