The Meurice Prize for contemporary art celebrated its tenth anniversary last year. For this 2018/2019 edition, Le Meurice, a member of the Dorchester Collection, once again invited art professionals and friends to the award ceremony held a few days before FIAC. An initiative of Franka Holtmann, General Director of Le Meurice, this new edition brought together the best talents in contemporary art today, such as Bianca Bondi, Corentin Grossmann, Ferdinand Kokou Makouvia and Anna Solal, who was awarded the prize known for having put under the spotlight artists like Neïl Beloufa or Lola Gonzalez. At the end of a ceremony held in the hotel’s sumptuous salons, Solal received her prize from a jury composed of Jennifer Flay, Emma Lavigne, Colette Barbier or Morgan Courtois, winner of the previous edition. Represented by New Galerie, Anna Solal has won an endowment of 20,000 euros and recognition from her peers.
