Rihanna presents the LVMH Prize to Marine Serre
If you did not have the privilege of being at the Louis Vuitton Foundation this Friday, you have most certainly been eagerly following the proceedings of the 2017 LVMH Prize award ceremony on the Instagram @lvmhprize story. The event this season? The arrival of Rihanna, guest of honor of this fourth edition. Arriving at the Louis Vuitton Foundation all dressed in white, @badgirlriri (the first muse of Dior’s colour, and known for her support of young designers) snuck backstage to take a closer look at the eight finalists’ collections and chat with them in a good-natured atmosphere. At the end of the day, it was finally the young Frenchwoman Marine Serre who won with her Radical Call for Love collection, while the special jury prize went to the Japanese Kozaburo Akasaka. Chosen by an exceptional jury including Delphine Arnault, Karl Lagerfeld, Nicolas Ghesquière, Jonathan Anderson and Maria Grazia Chiuri, the two winners received their prizes from Rihanna. Enough to add to the excitement of this now unavoidable event.
