Japanese brand Ujoh presented their Spring/Summer 2019 collection at Milan Fashion Week in the grand setting of Palazzo Dell’Arengario. Created in 2099 by Mitsuru Nishizaki, Ujoh is a regular of Tokyo Fashion Week. In 2015, the designer a guest at the Fashion Hub Market, a show that presents international emerging designers. Since then, the links between Ujoh and Italy have grown rapidly. Sponsored by Giorgio Armani for their first fashion show two years ago, the brand has been showing at Milan’s fashion ever since. The new collection is inspired by summer in the Land of the Rising Sun. This season, Mitsuru Nishizaki offers a collection featuring surimpositions and camouflage prints. This workwear-inspired collection with urban references is intended for an elegant and sophisticated woman. The Japanese designer’s style is well recognizable through his work on volumes and lines, which are the perfect representative of a new form of minimalism. Ujoh also puts focus on quality of materials, characteristic of the Japanese fashion market that looks up to the historical European brands for the same reason.
