From Toulon to Hyères, a weekend with the talents of Design Parade

The second major event organized by Villa Noailles, Design Parade Hyères & Toulon once again gathered journalists, creatives and design lovers in the South of France for a long weekend of discoveries, exhibitions and conversations. First stop, Toulon : There, Jean-Pierre Blanc inaugurated the exhibitions on the sidelines of the competition by the collective We Do Not Work Alone, Pierre Marie or jury president Pierre Yovanovitch. The competition was officially launched with a cocktail and a concert at in the old Toulon, before a dinner at sunset. The next day, everybody headed to Hyères to discover the work of the ten finalists competing in the design competition. It was also an opportunity to visit the exhibitions by Carolien Niebling, 2017 winner, and Philippe Malouin, president of the jury of the Festival’s 13th edition. At Villa Noailles, guests settled in as if on holiday, enjoyed the pool, discovered the vintage design market, and even took part in a “pétanque” competition before the long-awaited award ceremony. At the end of this weekend announcing a beautiful summer, Sara de Campos was awarded the Design Parade Hyères Jury’s Grand Prize, while the Toulon competition awarded both the duo Kim Haddou & Florent Dufourcq, and Antoine Chauvin. The exhibitions are open until September 30.
