Vernissage exhibition It’s Only Rock’N Roll

On November 7th, Artcurial presented the first auction entirely dedicated to Rock’n’Roll culture. Led by auctioneer François Tajan and journalist Philippe Manoeuvre, accompanied by Hugues Cornières for the expertise, 350 cult objects have been chosen to pay tribute to Rock in all its forms, from the 1950s to today.

It is to the sound of the new wave band Kas Product that the first curious ones could discover the collection of objects of Henry Padovanie, one of the founders of the group Police, but also the memories of scene of Sreamin’ Jay Hawkins, a guitar having belonged to David Bowie, a mixer of Pink Floyd or the poster realized in 1981 by Pierre and Gilles for the Palace.

Fashion, music, photography and contemporary art meet to celebrate all styles from punk to hard rock and folk and make sure of one thing: rock is definitely not dead.
