Cahiers d’Art invites the Eva Presenhuber Gallery for an exhibition of works by Josh Smith and Dieter Roth. At the same time, the space of the rue du Dragon reveals’Picasso: in the workshop’.
Through a selection of paintings, drawings, collages and engravings, the similarities between Dieter Roth and Josh Smith are as intriguing as they are fascinating. If Dieter Roth is in the 20th century as much for his practice with always pushed limits as for his ability to explore all media and techniques, Josh Smith could appear as his perfect pendant/heir as an artist of the 21st century…
The Picasso exhibition accompanies the latest issue of the Cahiers d’Art magazine, the two titles’Picasso: in the studio’. The whole is dedicated to the master and to the different techniques in which he excelled. A new discovery of the artist through archival documents and unpublished photographs. Until 23 December 2015
