His new expo may be called “No New Friends” but Viktor Vauthier brought friends both old and new out to celebrate the for the opening night cocktail of the latest art show at La Cité produced with Art Board. Viktor Vauthier has been making waves in the Fashion and Art worlds and he now has his first solo show at La Cité, artist and author Thomas Lélu’s art gallery that launched last  year in Paris to showcase emerging talent in the Art world. Known for his documentary-style fashion  editorials and commercials, this artist from the South of France has collaborated with Virgil Abloh for Off -White, Adidas, Nike, Apple and also created  the visual identity for Alex Olson’s Bianca Chandon label. His short film “Paris is for Lovers” premiered in Berlin in 2017. An  eclectic crowd  of Parisian lovers and friends from the fashion, art and film worlds spilled out from the gallery onto the streets for a night of cocktails surrounded by photos, design and walls covered in polaroids. Cali Dewitt’s “Open  Casket” just wrapped in September and La Cité continues to establish itself as a contemporary art hub highlighting a new generation of modern artists. “No New Friends” runs through November 29th  at La Cité.
