Sitting front row at Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood SS20

The Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2020 show invitation featured a photograph of a Sumatran tiger. The picture was taken by Dr. Wai-Ming Wong of Fauna & Flora International, an organization that works for the protection of all animal and plant species endangered by climate change. The Sumatran tiger, which reappears in the collection on a “Tiger Dress,” is one of these species. Anyone who knows Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler’s fashion knows their commitment to the environment. The couple took part in the climate protest that took place just a few days before the show. And one can say their commitment is as strong as the clothes are beautiful. Behind the eccentricity, the precision of the cuts and drapes give the collection a romantic feel which Bella Hadid embodies perfectly. The top model closed the show wearing an embroidered wedding dress and an XXL parasol. All this in front of first row darlings Violet Chachki, Miss Fame and Aquaria, as well as Anna Cleveland and, of course, Pamela Anderson, a long-time friend of the Kronthaler-Westwood couple.
