When Alexandre de Betak releases his book, colette fills it up.

Last night was a riot at Colette’s. It is true, the windows of the concept store of the Saint-Honoré street saw this week the onlookers accumulating in front of their sound and lights installations putting in the honor the scenographic work of Alexandre de Betak. Well known to fashion people, he signs, through his agency Bureau Betak, the scenographies of all the major fashion shows in the four main capitals, and is of all the most prestigious events. Proof of this is that he recently created the flowery decor for the opening gala of the dance season at the Opéra Garnier. Back to colette, then. While the multiple screens broadcast live the fashion shows that Bureau Betak staged from scratch, Alexandre de Betak had given an appointment to all his friends (and he has many) for the signing of his very first book, “Betak Fashio Show Revolution”. The title already announces the color. We certainly rarely see an event of no interest at colette, but it must be said that yesterday’s book signing set the bar very high for those who will pass after him before the closure of the mythical concept store. From Lou Doillon to Audrey Marnay, Tim Blanks and Serge Ruffieux, everyone was there to appropriate the object of desire – and why not also the “fashion show tools and survival kit”, a collection of objects selected by Alexandre de Betak to spend a fashion week in complete serenity. After the event, it was in the greatest privacy that he invited his relatives to a private dinner at his home. Among the lucky ones, Alexa Chung, Karlie Kloss, Antoine Arnault and Natalia Vodianova.
