Sitting front row at the Y/Project Fall-Winter 2020-21 show

La Tour Montparnasse, the new fashion mecca? To present its Fall-Winter 2020-21 collection, Glenn Martens took over the former site of Galeries Lafayette Montparnasse, which closed last November. The artistic director of Y/Project successfully moved the fashion population to the fourteenth arrondissement of Paris, not typically a very busy spot during Fashion Week. In this large empty space bathed in light like a blank page waiting to be written, the designer presented a collection that blends references from the past with a look towards the future. On the catwalk, Glenn Martens’ adventurous cuts (the plunging “V” pants, the sinuosity of interlocking knitted dresses) met the expert eye of Robbie Spencer (Executive Fashion Director of Dazed magazine) who styled the show.  Stefanie Giesinger, the Blutstein sisters, Cindy Bruna are Maëva Giani Marshall were among the guests at this memorable Montparnasse moment.
