Don’t think of it as just another campaign featuring Natalia Vodianova. This collaboration is in fact a partnership with the Naked Heart Foundation, which the supermodel created to help children in need in Russia and beyond. The starting point of the collection was the idea of metamorphosis, a nod to the work the Foundation has done for giving children a better future. It was enough a concept to get Mary Katrantzou inspired, and she decided to give her interpretation of the House’s emblem: the Serpenti. Known for her trompe-l’œil aesthetic, the fashion designer embodied metamorphosis by transforming the snake’s head into a myriad of butterflies to adorn a one-of-a-kind handbag. Powerful and poetic, this collaboration is without a doubt one of this Spring’s big events.
