Carrières Frères, manufacturer of nature-inspired botanical candles, has teamed up with the French National Museum of Natural History, the institution specialized in scientific and naturalist culture. Their starting point? A collection of rare vellum prints that illustrate every plant in the world, kept in the Museum’s secret library. The outcome ? Three new, never-before-seen scents, developed in partnership with the perfume house Robertet: absinthe, acacia and water lily, entirely designed in plant wax and adorned with labels featuring illustrations taken from 17th, 18th and 19th century botanical vellums.
