Built in 1822, the hotel was the island’s very first establishment. After a series of not so successful ownership changes, the Oetker Group took on a pharaonic renovation project. It is now opening, with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean’s finest landscapes. With its nostalgic decor and cuisine by two-star chef Gennaro Esposito, the 50 rooms promise a heavenly stay. Godard, Bardot, Piccoli, and Le Mépris are together again. And contrary to what Hervé Vilard exclaimed in 1966, Capri is not over, it’s well and truly back!
