Lubomir Chovanec x Extans Akhal bike: Full gallop

Inspired by the Turkoman horse breed (known for their black coat and unrivaled grace), Akhal is one of Extans’ latest creations. Like all products by the brand founded back in 2015, Akhal will be sold in limited-edition and each product is numbered, this time around at 99 copies only. The ultra-light (only 9.5 kg) carbon structure, polished with a satin finish, is designed for performance. In order to please the most demanding of customers, Extans worked with the best suppliers to provide the pieces they couldn’t produce themselves: Pirelli tires, Shimano breaks, and so on. According to their engineers, the bike’s speed is close to a horse’s gallop. From the start, the designers had the idea to create a work of art on wheels you could either choose to take for a ride or display in your living room. A true ‘show bike’. Nobody can say if bikes will become collectibles just like cars and populate auction rooms, but if we were to bet on one bike, it would certainly be this one.
