Paco Rabanne x Kimura Tsunehisa : Tribute from the Future

Kimura Tsunehisa was a master of futuristic imagery from the 1980s. Creating photomontages in a world where Photoshop still hadn’t been invented, the Japanese artist still fascinates generations of creatives for his surgical precision and the beauty of his work. Paco Rabanne’s artistic director Julien Dossena came across one of his books from 1979 and decided to take it as the main inspiration for his new collection. The result : clothes that feel urban, graphic and colorful just like vintage montages, and an overall imagery presented as a homage to Tsunehisa’s pioneering work. A success.
