Even if you’re not a skilled surfer, you might just fall in love with this new house on the coast of Monterey Bay. Built with wood from the pines found in the nearby forests, this sustainable house was designed to reduce its environmental impact to the maximum. Entrusted with this project, Feldman Architecture took into account the sea level rise over the next 100 years, and most of all didn’t want to fall into the trap of show-off modernity. The idea was to offer a house that would perfectly fit its surroundings and that wouldn’t stand out for the wrong reasons to the people strolling down the beach. After your daily walk, a jacuzzi and swimming pool are here for some well-deserved ‘me time’ on the terrace with ocean view.
