Vivienne x Louis Vuitton : Precious Jumping Hours

In 2017, a funny little character emerged from the Monogram canvas. Mischievous and twirling, Vivienne became the mascot of the French Maison and made several appearances on various occasions. Sometimes a pendant, sometimes a brooch, Vivienne returns this spring as a highly manufactured timepiece, with a triply diverted function: jumping hours. The idea here is to replace the traditional hour hand with different windows in which each hour “jumps” to display the next. Almost invisible, the body of the large minute hand makes a complete round of the dial every hour. Whether it is a tarot card (Cartomancienne model), a playing card (Casino) or a juggler’s ball made of Louis Vuitton Monogram flowers (Cirque model), its hand maintains the illusion of a magical universe. Available in three colors with three stones on the dial, mother-of-pearl (on the burgundy version), aventurine (on the blue one), and the rare skarn (on the green one), this collection succeeds in the tour de force of remaining within the limits of a 38mm diameter
