The Ralph Lauren polo shirt will always remain an icon – and not just for a generation of 40-year-olds who grew up during the house’s glory years. Today more than ever, Ralph Lauren is part of a contemporary style (street wear even) and speaks to a generation of millenials always on the lookout for references to put their style together. So, to celebrate their new CP-93 Polo capsule collection (a tribute to the 1992 America’s Cup in San Diego and the nautical collections from 1993), Ralph Lauren invited today’s creative minds (DJs, rappers and other style experts) to their Place de la Madeleine boutique in order to pay tribute to the Nineties and their shifting aesthetics. There, one discovered the limited edition collection based on marine motifs, primary color combinations and all-over prints. One could easily spot the piece that has already caught the eye of the Parisian style makers: a nylon windbreaker featuring a “boat race” print…
